From 0.9.1 the pyroute2 core is async, the synchronous API remains available as a wrapper. Upstream changelog: https://github.com/svinota/pyroute2/blob/0.9.4/CHANGELOG.rst pyroute2 now requires the python3 ssl module at runtime. This is reflected in Config.in.
